Dover man charged over report of woman sexually assaulted in town

A suspect has been charged following a reported sexual assault in Dover.

Kent Police was contacted on Sunday 29 January 2023 and it was reported that, at around 4.10am that morning, a woman had been sexually assaulted in a vehicle in the New Street area of the town.

Following an investigation by the East Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team and Dover Community Safety Unit, a man was arrested the following day.

Charge

The 30-year-old from Dover, has since been charged with sexual assault and was due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 1 February.
