Shortly after 10.30pm on Tuesday 7 February 2023, Kent Police was called to a report of a disturbance at Marine Terrace in Margate.

Police arrived at the scene and were told that a man had been assaulted by a group of men at the shelter near the roundabout leading to the town’s railway station. The victim was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
