Police investigating an assault at the Dartford Tunnel are asking for witnesses and dash cam footage of the incident.

On Sunday 29 January the victim was driving through the A282 Dartford tunnel from Kent towards Essex at around 2.30pm when he was involved in a “road rage” altercation involving two vans.

The driver continued his journey, followed by the two vans who forced the driver to stop at the layby immediately after the tunnel.

Three men from the two vans, a white van and a grey Peugeot, got out and assaulted the victim before getting back in their vans and driving away.

The victim, in his 20s, needed medical attention for a fractured eye socket he sustained as a result of the assault.
