Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at a derelict flat above a commercial premises in Biggin Street, Dover shortly after 10.15 yesterday evening (Friday, 14 July).

Five fire engines rushed to the blaze and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames. 

No injuries were reported. KFRS stated that the fire is suspected to have been started deliberately.
