A tragedy occurred on Tuesday morning (18 July) when a person lost their life after being in the water on a Kent beach.
It’s been reported an incident happened at West Parade, Hythe, shortly before 8.00am.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service responded to a call about a ‘person who had been in the water in need of medical attention’.
They were joined by other emergency services including the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance Service at the scene.
However, despite their efforts, the person could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Secamb spokesman.
