Rush hour car fire on A20 near Folkestone

National Highways traffic officers together with Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car fire on the A20 London-bound carriageway near Folkestone just after 7.10am today, 14 November.

Two fire engines rushed to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus quickly put out the blaze using hose reel jets. 

Crews were stood down shortly before 7.45am.

No injuries were reported, and the cause is believed to be accidental.
