Kent Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was bitten by a dog in East Street, Faversham on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024. The incident occurred around 4pm as the victim was waiting at a traffic light. A dark brown, stocky dog on a leash suddenly lunged and bit the woman’s arm.
The dog’s owner, described as a white male in his 20s, allegedly swore at the victim before leaving the scene. The owner is approximately 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, and has several missing teeth. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a dark hooded top. The dog, around 3ft tall, wore a black collar with gold detailing.
PC Sophie Rumsey expressed concern over the incident, stating,
“The dog involved was allegedly out of control. While the victim was protected by thick clothing, we fear another person, especially a child, could have been harmed.”
