The crackdown on class A drugs in Medway has continued with the proactive arrest of three suspected dealers. On Wednesday 12 March 2025, officers investigating the supply of cocaine and heroin in the area stopped a man in Cazeneuve Street, Rochester. He was searched and a packet containing four wraps of crack cocaine was seized along with a knife and a mobile phone. The man was arrested and taken into custody where around 40 further deals were recovered.
In a separate enforcement, constables arrived at an address near Delce Road, Rochester where a man and a woman were detained. A large bag containing crack cocaine and suspected heroin was also seized.
A man from Rochester Avenue, Rochester, was later charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, possessing crack cocaine with intent to supply and possession of a bladed article in a public place. A woman aged 54, and a 60-year-old man, both of St Peter Street, Rochester were charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
They all appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 13 March. The man stopped in Cazeneuve Street pleaded guilty to all his charges and was remanded for sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on 11 April. The woman from St Peter Street was released on bail and the man from the same road was remanded. Both will appear before the same crown court hearing as the man from Rochester Avenue.
