Two men have been charged with murder following a fatal vehicle collision in Dartford that resulted in the death of a four-year-old boy. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, June 1, 2025, on New Barn Road, also left two other occupants of the same vehicle injured.

Kent Police responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision shortly before 9:30pm. Three people from one of the vehicles were transported to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, the four-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries. A 24-year-old man remains in critical condition, while a one-year-old girl sustained minor injuries.

Two men were apprehended on Monday, June 2, 2025, in connection with the collision. Today, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, the Crown Prosecution Service authorized charges of murder against both individuals. They also face charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and attempted wounding with intent in relation to the injured man and girl.

Both are scheduled to appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court later today, June 4, 2025.

Detectives are continuing their appeal for witnesses to the collision, which involved two grey Ford Ranger vehicles. Authorities are urging anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.
