The officers were the first to arrive at the scene of a reported disturbance in Medway in January 2025. There, they discovered a victim suffering from severe blood loss due to multiple stab wounds. Acting swiftly, PC Bibi and PS Parkinson immediately applied chest seals to an open chest wound and dressed several other serious injuries on the victim’s torso and legs.

Their immediate and effective first aid proved crucial. The victim was transported to a London hospital, where they underwent life-saving surgery. The medical team later confirmed that the emergency care provided by PC Bibi and PS Parkinson was undoubtedly instrumental in saving the victim’s life.

Presenting the awards, Kent Police Chief Constable Tim Smith said:

‘The actions of PC Bibi and PS Parkinson demonstrate their outstanding professionalism and dedication.

‘Their quick thinking in a highly pressured environment saved a life and highlight the complex challenges officers encounter daily.

‘I would like to congratulate them both for their outstanding work and commitment.’
