Investigators are calling for public assistance after a black Skoda Yeti left the road and collided with a tree in Gillingham during the early hours of Friday, 20 February 2026.
The collision occurred at approximately 3:10 AM on Deanwood Drive. Emergency services arrived to find two occupants with significant injuries. The driver, a woman in her 20s, and a teenage passenger were both rushed to a London hospital for treatment, where they currently remain.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) attended the scene to carry out forensic enquiries, resulting in a temporary closure of the road. While the area has since been reopened to traffic, officers are working to establish the full circumstances leading up to the vehicle leaving the carriageway.
Detectives are urging anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward, particularly motorists who may have captured the Skoda Yeti on dashcam footage. Local residents with CCTV or doorbell cameras are also encouraged to review their recordings from the early hours of Friday morning.
