Kent Police Officers investigating a collision on the A2 at Gravesend are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
They were called to the coastbound carriageway near the Pepper Hill junction at around 2.35am on Monday 25 May 2026 following reports that a blue Audi A3 had been driven the wrong way down the road, resulting in a collision with a Fiat 500.
Emergency services, including officers, South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service, attended the scene. Two passengers from the Fiat 500, a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, were taken to hospital for treatment. Both have since been discharged and are currently recovering at home.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
