A suspect has been charged after police carried out an early morning search warrant at a property in Gillingham.

As part of ongoing operations to tackle illegal drug supply across Medway, Kent Police officers and colleagues from the British Transport Police raided an address in Twydall at approximately 6.30am on Wednesday 1 July 2026. Following initial enquiries, a 47-year-old local resident was arrested and subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply a class A drug, possession of criminal property, and being concerned in the supply of heroin.

The accused appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 2 July, where he was remanded in custody ahead of a further appearance at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 31 July.
