By Brian Wimsett: It seems that money is being collected for a new village hall in Alkham. Surely this proposition, if this is really being planned, be put to the vote?

The village hall committee has done good work already, creating a welcoming outside space, planting and placing the notice board where it can be read in relative comfort, plus alterations and improvements to the interior.
However, democratically an informed vote by the parish is an obvious requirement before the colours are nailed to the mast?
