Two fire engines were rushed to the A2 coast-bound near Dartford this afternoon 31 August, following reports of a vehicle ablaze, triggering traffic delays in the area.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews arrived at the scene shortly after 4:20 PM and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high-pressure hose reel jets to quickly tackle and extinguish the blaze.
The incident was brought under control and within half an hour, emergency services had cleared the scene. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
