Three fire engines responded to reports of a shed fire on Brooke Avenue in Margate early Wednesday morning. Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene at 07:45 this morning, 2 September, after the blaze broke out and rapidly spread to nearby fencing and adjacent properties.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets, main hose jets, and a hydrant supply to extinguish the flames, bringing the incident under control by 09:41.

South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics assessed four people at the scene, while a fifth individual was transported to the hospital as a precaution to receive treatment for minor burns. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
