Scaffolding in place in The Old High Street, Folkestone Photo: Ray Duff
By Ray Duff: The footpath to one side of the Old High Street in Folkestone is back open, but the road remains closed to through traffic.
The pedestrian access near to 56-58 Old High Street reopened after midday yesterday.
It’s understood that although the window replacement had been completed, the workers needed to work on the upper brickwork and guttering over the frontage which was reportedly unsafe.
Scaffolding is now in place with netting to protect the public.
Vehicles are currently unable to traverse the whole of the road.
