Kent Police beat officers have shut down a property on Cherry Avenue in Swanley following persistent reports of antisocial behaviour and local disorder.
The three-month closure order was granted at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 26 August 2026, following a sustained enforcement campaign to address ongoing neighbourhood issues. Officers have since cleared and secured the home, placing a formal legal warning notice on the front door.
Under the terms of the order, entering the property is now a criminal offence, and anyone found breaching the notice risks arrest, a fine, or imprisonment. Police will actively monitor the address over the three-month period to ensure compliance, while working alongside partner agencies to secure a permanent, long-term solution for the property.
This enforcement action aims to deliver immediate relief to residents affected by the disorder while supporting broader efforts to restore community safety and peace in the area.

‘Residents have long suffered antisocial behaviour and incidents of disorder in relation to this premises. Working with our partners, attempts had been made to resolve matters through community resolution and, despite being issued warnings, those connected with the property have failed to improve their behaviour and conduct.
‘Kent Police remains committed to tackling antisocial behaviour, protecting vulnerable communities, and improving the safety and wellbeing of those affected by persistent nuisance and disorder.
‘We hope this action will significantly reduce antisocial behaviour and the associated demand at this location, while providing much-needed respite for local residents affected by these issues.’
