A three-year-old horse was lifted to safety by crews after getting stuck in a water-filled ditch off Redhouse Wall, in Deal.

Two fire engines, together with the animal rescue unit, technical rescue unit and water safety unit were sent to the field, just after midday on 25 October, where the horse was trapped in the muddy water.

Using strops, mud paths and a ‘Telehandler’, crews were able to lift the horse onto dry land and back into the care of its owner.
