The Hawkinge Gazette has received a request from a local historian researching Folkestone Port history.
He writes: “I am a researching old Folkestone Port history and have a very old official pocket book once belonging to a Customs Officer in the 1960s, or maybe even earlier, by the name of ‘Kettle’.
“I wonder if readers can put me in touch with anyone who remembers Mr Kettle?”
