Officers have issued pictures of stolen items in a bid to reunite them with their rightful owners.

At around 3am Thursday 26 May 2022, officers from Ashford’s Local Policing Team were carrying out enquiries following reports that two people had broken into several vehicles in BenstedAshford.

Jewellery recovered

During the incidents the men were allegedly disturbed and fled the scene. Officers then spotted two men who matched the description of the suspects.

Arrested

A 36-year-old man and a 33-year-old man, both from Ashford, were detained on suspicion of interference with a motor vehicle. Both men have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Jewellery discovered

Following the arrest, officers conducted further searches and a gold watch, a gold ring with an emerald stone, a gold ring with a pearl stone and a plain ring were all recovered.

Officers have released images of these items in the hope that they can be reclaimed.
