A suspected burglar has been charged after Maidstone police patrols responded promptly to reports of an intruder in Langley.
Officers attended Sutton Road at around 4am on Monday 13 June 2022 after a man had allegedly been seen entering houses under construction.
Edward Clark, 24, of Norton Road, Maidstone, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with burglary.
He is also alleged to have stolen machinery and tools from another building site in Coxheath between Friday 15 April and Tuesday 19 April, and to have broken into a garden shed in Maidstone on Saturday 28 May before assaulting a man who challenged him.
Mr Clark was due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 14 June.
