Smoke alert as haystack fire threatens Woodchurch residents

People living near Brook Street in Woodchurch, near Ashford, are being advised to close windows and doors due to smoke coming from a haystack fire which started late this afternoon, 21 August.

Drivers in the area are also advised to take care on the roads due to poor visibility. 

Kent Fire and Rescue Service is requesting residents share this information with loved ones and neighbours in the impacted area, who may not have access to the internet.
