A murder investigation has been launched by Kent Police after a man in his 40s was fatally stabbed in a private property in Chatham.

Police and emergency services rushed to a home in Castle Road at 10:12 am on Saturday, November 1, 2025, following reports of an assault. Inside the residence, officers found the victim suffering from injuries consistent with stab wounds. Despite treatment from paramedics at the scene, the man died. His next of kin have been notified of his death.

In connection with the incident, a 45-year-old woman from Chatham has been arrested and remains in custody as the investigation progresses. Cordons are currently in place on Castle Road while forensic teams examine the scene.

Detectives are now urging any witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact the police. Residents with private CCTV and drivers with dashcam footage from the area are also asked to check for relevant material.
