A teenager has been charged with multiple offences after a vehicle struck a building in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Albion Street shortly before 2:00 am on April 4. Upon arrival, responders discovered a car had collided with a structure. A man in his 30s, who sustained injuries to his arm and leg, was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital by paramedics.

Following an initial investigation at the site, officers arrested an 18-year-old local resident who has since been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and dangerous driving. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today, 6 April 2026.
