A drug dealer has been jailed after a house in Greenhithe was converted into a cannabis growing operation.

It’s reported Police Officers carried out a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Sayer Close on 27 March 2026, following enquiries which led them to believe cannabis was being grown inside. Upon entering, officers were confronted by several stud walls which they broke through, uncovering the cannabis factory. More than 70 plants were found in the ground floor living area and two upstairs bedrooms, along with growing equipment. Xhevahir Axhami, 33, was found inside a bathroom and arrested.
Axhami was later charged with being concerned in the production of class B drugs and admitted the offence at Maidstone Crown Court on 13 July 2026 where the Albanian national from Enfield, was jailed for 2 years.
Investigating officer Police Constable Michael Belfrage said:
‘Cultivations like this can help to fund serious organised crime, so officers work relentlessly to identify these sites and dismantle them.
‘We take the illegal use and supply of drugs extremely seriously and urge anyone concerned about drug activity in their neighbourhood to contact us so that we can take action.’
