A multi-vehicle collision in Maidstone that resulted in an arrest and several injuries is being investigated by Kent Police.
Witnesses are sought to the incident which took place on Wednesday 31 March 2021 at around 2.30pm.
The driver of a Volvo V70 collided with a Mercedes in Willington Street, near to the junction with Ashford Road. Three other cars, a Peugeot 308, VW Tiguan and a Kia Sportage were also damaged.
The driver of the Volvo was being pursued by a marked police vehicle at the time of the collision after failing to stop. He is reported to have then left the scene on foot but was stopped nearby and arrested.
A woman who was driving the Kia suffered injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Three other people reported minor injuries, including the 37-year-old man from Headcorn who was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
